Amigurumi Class (crocheted toy robot)
"Amigurumi" is the Japanese name for crochet toy making. Simple stitching and shaping techniques are employed to make three dimensional forms that can become any kind of critter you desire. In this class we will be exploring amigurumi techniques while making an adorable robot pal. This is a two class workshop that will cover the basics as well as more specialized amigurumi considerations such as how to stuff and attach components successfully without getting polyfil in your stitches, when and how to attach limbs using crochet rather than sewing, and how to choose the best looking additional features using craft eyes, applique, felt pieces and yarn.
