Greater Granny Squares with Julia Madill

Wonderful knitting and crochet designer Julia Madill is releasing a brand new book that examines the most beloved and versatile of crochet patterns; the granny square. We are so lucky that she will be visiting the Knit Cafe for a Book Launch on September 15th and has agreed to teach a class too!

Join Julia in a deep dive into the granny square. Go beyond the basics exploring three classic patterns. Learn alternate stitches, colour variations, and a variety of finishing and seaming techniques. This workshop is sure to intrigue those who have stitched a few granny squares and those who are new to the subject too. 

1 session, materials not included 

Materials: Two contrasting colours of yarn, crochet hook to match the yarn size, and a darning needle. We recommend a Worsted Weight Yarn and a 4.5-5mm hook. Come a little early and get advice about supplies available at the Knit Cafe!

Level: Advanced Beginner, Students should be comfortable with basic crochet stitches, chain, double crochet, slip stitch.

Cancelation Policy: No refunds are provided for students who cancel their class registrations. A store credit or exchange of the date of the class can be given if you provide 3 days notice prior to the first session of your class. Notifications made within 3 days of the start date are not eligible for a store credit or exchange. Exceptions may be made for students who miss classes due to COVID-symptoms - please get in touch.
