Hat Class

COVID-19 Protocol: It is a priority for us to keep our community safe and healthy. All participants in Knit Cafe classes must wear masks in the shop for the duration of the class. When you register for a class you are agreeing to do so. Thanks for working with us on this!

After completing a few scarves new knitters get a hankering for a new challenge.  A hat is a very popular “step-up” project. This class will introduce the indispensable technique of knitting with double pointed needles, which opens up doors to all things knit in circles. In this class students will work on a basic unisex toque pattern. You can make it any size you like, even baby sized! Deciphering and decoding the mysteries of knitting patterns will also be discussed in the class.

1 session, materials not included

Materials: 6mm double pointed needles and Aran/Chunky Weight yarn like Berroco Ultra Wool Chunky, or WATG Alpachino Merino available at the Knit Cafe

Level: Beginner. Students must know how to cast on and knit and purl too! If you are not familiar with these techniques check out Absolute Beginner Knit Classes.
