Join As You Go Crochet Flowers with Sue Maton
The Knit Cafe is delighted to have the talented Crochet Artist Sue Maton visiting us from the UK to teach 2 workshops: Designing Colour Stories and Join As You Go Crochet Flowers. These are wonderfully complementary classes, so we would not blame you if you wanted to take them both!
Crochet flowers are so pretty and great fun to make! In this workshop students will learn how to use a range of basic stitches and techniques to make a bouquet of colourful, crochet blooms. Better still, they will discover how these beauties can be crocheted together to generate floral garlands and lovelyl open work fabrics that can be used a wide range of decorative, textile applications.
1 session, materials not included
Materials: fingering weight yarn in a selection of colours and crochet hooks sized to match yarn. We suggest Lichen and Lace Mini Skeins and 2.5-3.5mm hook. Also bring a darning needle with a sharp point, scissors, a notebook (or paper) and pen would be nice but not essential.
Level: Intermediate. Students should be confident with basic crochet stitches and be comfortable working with finer yarns and smaller hooks.
Cancelation Policy: No refunds are provided for students who cancel their class registrations. A store credit or exchange of the date of the class can be given if you provide 3 days notice prior to the first session of your class. Notifications made within 3 days of the start date are not eligible for a store credit or exchange. Exceptions may be made for students who miss classes due to COVID-symptoms - please get in touch.
