What cozy yarn! Made from half alpaca and half wool, this yarn takes advantage of the best that both fibres have to offer. The alpaca lends a fuzzy charm and a bit of drape and the wool content ensures garments will not stretch out of shape. Owl is "woolen-spun" which means it has light as air construction and a rustic texture that is completely complemented by the flecked and heathered colours. This worsted weight yarn suits warm accessories of all kinds but it also screams "make me a sweater!" We are in luck that Quince and Co has so many inspiring patterns developed just for Owl. You can give them a gander HERE.
Quince and Co is dedicated to making products that foster the wool industry in their community and therefore uses American raised sheep's wool. Alpaca fibre is also sourced locally whenever possible, and from ethically sourced, New Zealand suppliers when not.
