Crochet Blanket Class for Absolute Beginners

When people think about crochet they are most likely picturing either delicate lacy stitching or nostalgic and cozy blankets and bed comforters. The latter is what you will learn in this class. No crochet experience is necessary to learn the basic blanket making techniques involved in "the granny square". A delight in colour and texture is the only requirement! New crocheters will learn the foundation skills that are required to make this beginner crochet blanket; skills that they can draw upon for more crochet projects to follow. Chaining, double crochet, some simple shaping techniques, and pattern reading will all be covered in this class.

Materials: At least two colours (but the more the merrier) worsted weight yarn and a 4.5mm-5mm crochet hook available at The Knit Cafe
