Rug Hooking Exploration
COVID-19 Protocol: It is a priority for us to keep our community safe and healthy. All participants in Knit Cafe classes must wear masks in the shop for the duration of the class. When you register for a class you are agreeing to do so. Thanks for working with us on this!
The Knit Cafe is so happy to be hosting a class with guest instructor Susan Gaby-Trotz. Susan has a decade of experience creating hand-hooked art and will be exhibiting her work at The Knit Cafe in the month of March.
This class explores rug-hooking methods using a traditional rug hooking tool. It is open to students with no prior experience and to those who have practiced traditional rug hooking before. The basic rug hooking stitch will be covered, along with a discussion of supplies, fibres and tools.
Along the way Susan will give insights into how she interprets designs, colour and texture and how she forms decision in regards to blending colour and defining form.
1 session, materials not included
Materials: Students with no experience should purchase a Deanne Fitzpatrick Rug Hooking Kit (restock coming soon) and a 10" plastic embroidery hoop.
