Take Care Mohair

Hooray for mohair! We just love this glossy fibre that is so warm and get so light, and let's face it... so fluffy!!! Wool and the Gang's Take Care Mohair comes from South Africa where there’s a 200-year tradition of goat farming and a genuine commitment to sustainability.

This mohair takes it's place in The Knit Cafe's collection of mohairs as a mid-weight! Like all mohairs it benefits from being knit or crochet loosely and letting the fluffy fibres fill in the gaps. Try it with a 6.5mm - 15mm knitting needles or a 8mm to 12mm crochet hook. If you are looking for a fine mohair try Knitting For Olive Soft Silk Mohair, or Lichen and Lace Marsh Mohair. For a bulky weight mohair try Loopy Mango Mohair So Soft.

Mohair is great for sweaters, hats, blankets and scarves. One ball of the Take Care Mohair should be enough for a hat or a cowl.
