Suri Fluff

Suri Fluff is a beautiful combination of soft and fluffy. Suri is a rare breed of alpaca known for their long, smooth and lustrous fibres. Many people who find mohair intolerable are happy as pie in a sweater made from alpaca. This brushed Suri from Walk Collection is blended with a liberal amount of silk adding to its softness and its glow.

Use it all on it's own for light as air projects like gauzy sweaters, warps, and scarves or double it up with another yarn like Walk Collections Merino DK or Tough Sock to make a unique fabric that gains all the best properties from both yarns. In most knitting and crochet patterns that ask for a lace-weight mohair the Suri Fluff can be substituted. It will have a less crisp feel and structure and more drape than a mohair yarn would provide.

It is difficult to dye Suri fibres, but Walk Collection has done remarkable work on these furry skeins - adding lots of juicy, colourful detailing in amongst the fluff.  All of Walk Collections fibres are sourced ethically. They hand dye each skein in Germany using environmentally friendly dyes.
