Organic 80/20 Sock

Since 2024 Lichen and Lace has switched their sock yarn base to an organic merino and we could not be happier! This 80/20 variety of fingering weight yarn is now comprised of 80% superwash ORGANIC merino and 20% nylon.  The healthy supporting role of the nylon makes this yarn a very good contender for sock knitting. Nylon makes wool stand up to wear. Sock enthusiasts can try out their Lichen and Lace 80/20 on The Knit Cafe's Sweet Sock Pattern. If these colours are too pretty for just your feet you will find the merino is soft enough for other body parts too. Since this is a fine wool it will make gorgeous shawls, and light sweaters, and kids wear too - it's washable after all.
