Indigo Dyeing Workshop

In the world of natural dyeing there is one true-blue way of reaching sea-blue-hues and that is with the power of Indigo. In this three-hour workshop the talented Julie Sinden from The Love Of Colour will lead you through Indigo Dyeing basics. Indigo is used completely differently than any other natural dye. Work through how to create and maintain an indigo dye vat while learning about indigo plants and some of the history of indigo dyeing.

Each student will receive 6 mini skeins to experiment with; using the same dye vat to build up the colour and create a gradation of blues.

1 session, all materials included

Materials: the class fee includes indigo dye and 100 grams of yarn for dyeing. 

Level: no experience necessary

Cancelation Policy: No refunds are provided for students who cancel their class registrations. A store credit or exchange of the date of the class can be given if you provide 3 days notice prior to the first session of your class. Notifications made within 3 days of the start date are not eligible for a store credit or exchange. Exceptions may be made for students who miss classes due to COVID-symptoms - please get in touch.
