Brioche Knitting Class

Brioche stitching has been gaining popularity by leaps and bounds. Hats and shawls and scarves are made gorgeous in this wonderful textured stitch. Not only does brioche stitching lend wonderful texture, stretch and dimension to knits but it can also be used to make two colour designs that are – gasp! - reversible!. In this class you will learn all the techniques involved in brioche knitting including reading brioche patterns and tips for keeping your knitting on track. Learn to knit both a one colour and a two colour design while you stitch up a beautiful cowl project.
2 session course, materials not included
Materials: 2 colours of worsted weight yarn, shown in Lichen and Lace Merino Worsted 100 grams of main colour and 50 grams of contrast colour and 3.5mm circular needles 40-60cm in length available at The Knit Café.
Level: Intermediate. Students should have a good grasp of knit/purl patterns and be very comfortable knitting in rounds.
