Knitting Level Two - Mitten and Sock

Over the years the Knit Cafe has explored several class curriculums to follow our Knitting 101 Class. This Knitting Level Two class is the best one yet! 
In these 4 lessons students will explore several different methods of knitting in circles and practice their skills on a hand knitted mitten and sock. Both fun and practical projects with lots of lessons to teach us.

• learn small circumference knitting with the two most popular techniques: the "magic loop method" and knitting with double pointed knitting needles.
  
  
• practice pattern reading skills on patterns that are more complex
  
  
• learn essential skills like increasing and decreasing, short row shaping, and picking up stitches (Don't worry if you don't know what these are, you will by the end of this class)
  
  
• gain more confidence while practicing fixing your own mistakes.

4-session course, materials not included

Materials: Worsted weight yarn, 100g for the mittens and 100-150g for the socks. 4mm double pointed needles, and 4mm circular needles 80cm or longer. Stitch markers and a darning needle. All are available at The Knit Cafe. Come a little early to class to peruse.

Level: Intermediate. This is a great follow up class for graduates of the Knitting 101 Class or for knitters who are very confident with knit and purl and casting on and off.

Cancelation Policy: No refunds are provided for students who cancel their class registrations. A store credit or exchange of the date of the class can be given if you provide 3 days notice prior to the first session of your class. Notifications made within 3 days of the start date are not eligible for a store credit or exchange. Exceptions may be made for students who miss classes due to COVID-symptoms - please get in touch.
