Introduction to Thread Painting on Knits - Embroider a Cardinal!

Join us for a cozy, creative afternoon at The Knit Café to learn the beautiful art of thread painting with Julie Crawford from Knitted Bliss!

In this beginner-friendly workshop, you'll stitch a charming cardinal motif onto your favorite knit piece. No embroidery experience necessary. Thread painting brings designs to life with dimensional, painterly stitches, and this class will guide you through each step at a relaxed pace. Whether you're embellishing a sweater, adding personality to a store-bought cardigan, or working on a practice swatch, you'll leave with new skills and a piece you'll be proud to wear or display.
We'll work together in a supportive, encouraging atmosphere where questions are welcome and creativity flows freely. This is the perfect opportunity to slow down, learn something new, and connect with fellow fiber enthusiasts over the meditative rhythm of needle and thread.

Materials: Class fee includes Knitted Bliss embroidery pattern, stitch stabilizer, and embroidery floss and needle
You will need to bring a knit item to embroider (sweater, cardigan, tote bag, scarf, or swatch—just avoid small circumferences like mittens or socks)

Level: No experience necessary

Cancelation Policy: No refunds are provided for students who cancel their class registrations. A store credit or exchange of the date of the class can be given if you provide 3 days notice prior to the first session of your class. Notifications made within 3 days of the start date are not eligible for a store credit or exchange. Exceptions may be made for students who miss classes due to COVID-symptoms - please get in touch.
