Primitive Linen
Primitive Linen is an evenweave fabric often used by rug hookers and punch needlers as their foundation cloth. It is woven from durable 100% linen with a thread count of 12X12 threads per inch. The Primitive Linen comes in a natural taupe colour and is very attractive when left unadorned as part of a punch needle or rug hook designs. It can be stretched on a frame or hemmed to be used as a wall hanging, it can be used for household items like cushions and trivets and is also durable enough to be a foundation cloth for rugs.
This primitive linen works well with a most rug hooking tools including the medium hook here in the shop. It is best matched with the fine Amy Oxford Punch Needle. It is 1.6 meters / 64" wide and is sold by the half yard.
