Knitting 101

This is a very comprehensive learn to knit class. In this class we impart the fundamental knitting skills that transform novices into practiced knitter able to tackle a variety of future projects with confidence. In four weeks student receive step by step instruction, wise council, and lots of helping hands and follow up lessons while they stitch-up a scarf and a hat and a pair of arm warmers.

•  learn to begin and finish projects with cast on and bind off

•  learn the knit and purl stitches

•  get advice and the tricks for fixing mistakes in your knitting projects

•  learn to knit in circles

•  learn how to read knitting patterns

•  learn the basic finishing techniques that make your knits look polished

4 session course,  materials not included

Materials: Yarn and needles to match for a scarf and both 6mm 40cm/16" circular needles and double pointed needles for hat and arm warmers with bulky yarn to match.
Come a little early and get advice about supplies available at the Knit Cafe!

Level: No experience necessary.

Cancelation Policy: No refunds are provided for students who cancel their class registrations. A store credit or exchange of the date of the class can be given if you provide 3 days notice prior to the first session of your class. Notifications made within 3 days of the start date are not eligible for a store credit or exchange. Exceptions may be made for students who miss classes due to COVID-symptoms - please get in touch.
